    Wawbrau first label...with ninjas

Heres my first attempt at a label. Its a really simple B&W label as I'm not really doing anything with my beer except giving it away to people, but I figured I'd make the laugh when they saw it. Not the real name of the cider (actually Graff malty cider), but I needed a subject matter...

Lagering without a garage or basement.

I currently live in a trailer and do not have a garage or a basment. I have a small shed that I could put the beer in during the winter, I was wondering if this would get too cold. I live in New York so we can get some really cold temps by January/February. I don't have the room for a...

    Batch Sparge Explained?

I am preparing to make my first all grain brew, and I want to batch sparge. I am a little confused on how it works so I figured I'd ask here. Heres how I understand it. In my tun, I add my strike water to obtain 154 degrees (probably about 170 degrees) . Allow to mash for 1 hour. I then...

This is the first recipe I've tried to make from scratch. I am planning on brewing this as soon as I finish out this semester. I was just wondering if you could give me your feedback. Honey Brown Ale tastes very odd

I recently made a honey brown ale. I primary fermented for 2 weeks, and secondary for 2 more and bottled. It has been bottled for 2 months now. The beer does not taste good at all...the best way I can describe it would be like coffee. It seems that the yeast hasn't settled very well either, as...

Does the party pig need priming sugar?

I was reading about the party pig and ordered one, but I was curious about the priming sugar. Is it necesary to achieve carbination. The reason I ask is I have a cider that I am thinking of sorbating, and want to know if I can carbonate it with the pig using the pressure pouch setup. Thanks.

    Bottling Cider

Ok I've made a hard cider, which is currently in my secondary fementer. I am waiting for the SG to get a little lower, but I would like to know what you usually bottle cider in. If I was going to use wine bottles, but was wondering how difficult the process of corking a wine bottle is. Thanks.

Can I add more sugar after racking?

Ok, I have a batch fermenting. I started with just unpasturized cider and let it ferment for about 2 weeks. After that I racked to secondary and decided to add some honey to it for more alcohol. I was considering adding some brown sugar to the mix, will this affect anything?
