    Side by side temperature control

If I use a side by side Refrigerator/Freezer and use a control device to keep the fridge side at 65-70, what will the temperature be in the freezer? I want to turn my side by side into a fermentation chamber and use the freezer side for cold beer. Any help would be appreciated:confused:

    0 Gravity

So, not that I'm super paranoid (:-)), checked again at 67deg and it was 1.000. That's reasonably accurate I think. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Any thoughts on cold crashing straight to the keg now? I was going to leave it in the fermenting for a couple of weeks until I got the surprise reading. So, are we agreed that I have an accurate reading of 1.000? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Arc, I did not add any sugar. I tasted the beer at the above reading and it actually wasn't bad. It's been in the primary for 2 weeks. Maybe I should keg it now. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Full discloser, I added the 1.5 DME at 5 days after fermentation. I suspect this is part of my problem. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Pitching Slurry

Here comes the dumb question.:o Is the yeast cake the whole trub? Or do you skim off the top? I get the part about dividing it for different gravity beers, but will the yield be about a cup (assuming I skim the whole fermenter)?

    757 Home Brewers

I like Yardhouse. I might be able to do this Friday, I'm a fan of early (4-5). If that's too quick to do it, let's all meet in mid-April-Friday or Saturday around 5:00....Anyone? Then we can still hold June 6th for JMCQUESTEN

    Yeast Washing Illustrated

After much reading, one thing i learned was not to harvest yeast form high gravity beers. I harvested wlp002 OG1.066 FG 1.010. Should I just throw this away?

    Cyser question

I made this Cyser a little over a year ago. I am still enjoying it, and time has been very good to it. The taste is bitter apple and it has a nice "tingle" to it. I have to warn everyone who drinks it not to guzzle it like beer, it will send you to La La land :D
