    The beer's looking pretty good. I still have the blow off tube connected, but the fermentation has really started to slow down. Looking through the carboy, color and foam look great!

    Thanks for the ideas! Xpertskir, the table sugar was a last ditch option. My son knocked over by corn sugar and I had no access to the store to get more. Had to use what I had on hand and table sugar was it!

    I constructed a blow off tube feeding into a bucket. The beer is fermenting like crazy! Much faster and more powerful than the IPA and amber ales I have brewed in the past. I guess it's the extra corn sugar in the recipe and higher ABV that's causing this strong fermentation. Anyways, thanks...

    I got a bottle of Star San and am a little worried about handling. There are serious warnings on the bottle about skin contact and such. So, once diluted according to the instructions on the bottle, is Star San safe to touch?
