Digging out spent grains with a ?

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm intrigued by the idea of using the pump you posted. Have you used this yourself, and if so, how well does it work?

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Alright, I got my condenser installed. :) I won't be able to do a test run until my brew panel arrives in a few weeks.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Thank you! That was my assumption; thank you for the validating. Thanks, Franktalk! I went ahead and did a tee off the temperature port. I went with the tee approach and yes, I do have a port on the backside for an electric temp probe. I thought about ditching the analog thermometer, but...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I'm currently in the process of updating my brewing equipment from HERMS to an EHERMS. The main reason for this upgrade is so that I can brew indoors during the winter months. When I had my house built, I intentionally left the basement unfinished for a future brewery. I eventually want to have...

    Deep Cleaning BG14 Burner

I agree. During my next batch I'll prop up my kettle using extra steel tubing I have laying around. I tested the burner this afternoon and it burns much better now.

    Maintaining HLT Temperature in HERMs

It seems when adjusting my burner I'm either to low or not low enough. Perhaps marking my regulator as you mentioned would reduce the margin for error during subsequent batches and provide consistency. What do you recommend for marking the regulator? I do like the idea of using an "Anova...

    Maintaining HLT Temperature in HERMs

My single-tier HERMs uses a controller for monitoring MLT temperatures through a thermowell in the lid. When the mash temperature drops, a pump is turned on for HLT recirculation. This setup works pretty well for maintaining MLT temperatures. However, I'm using propane in my current setup and...

    How do YOU store bottles?

@1fast636 I'll post dimensions when I get home. I think I may make the next one a little bit wider. It holds 10 rows of standard homebrew bottles but it appears I'm about a quarter of an inch from getting 10 rows of Guinness.

    How do YOU store bottles?

Just built this shelf to store my bottles in. Depending on the bottle size it can fit 60 bottles per shelf.
