    Alternative to Avery Mailing Labels

I use labels that are for making name tags. Avery makes them, Post-it, and some others. More expensive than other choices, but they stay on well and peel off like magic without leaving any residue. Usually I don't even soak them.

    STC-1000 - Any problems?

I use an STC1000 on my fermentation chamber. I've had it about 6 months so far - no problems. Built a DIY controller from a link on HBT using a project box and a couple outlets and it works great!

Fermenter size for 3 gallon batch

I have only brewed indoors, and I always do 5 gallon batches on the stove. Since its the only way I've ever done it, I don't feel like I'm doing it the hard way. I have an 8 gallon BK and a large burner on my gas stove (power burner) and it works fine. It takes maybe 20 minutes or so to get my...

    Need Help With Label Stock

I use "Name Tag" labels from OfficeMax. They take color well and come off nicely too. They are not really waterproof though, so they aren't good for bottles on ice.

    Bottle bomb

I have about 25 batches brewed so far, about half are bottled and half kegged, so I'm still fairly new to brewing. Maybe one of the experts on the forum can give me some answers. I went on vacation and returned to my first bottle bomb. I store my bottles in my basement on shelving in a cool...

    Milk Stout secondary ferm necessary?

I've brewed the BB MIlk Stout twice, its a favorite of mine, as well as my friends. I'm pretty new at brewing, with about 21 batches brewed so far. I've only transferred to secondary a couple times, and I didn't do it on the Milk Stout. In my opinion, it doesn't need secondary. If you add the...

    Another "Jester Style" Keezer Build!

Love the tile! I have the same kind of tile on my keezer build. My advice on stain - stay on the lighter side to contrast with your dark tile. It's beautiful, nice job!
