4 day old Wheat beer on tap! - without lots of yeast!

    Now that is neat thinking.

    when I was 6 I had a sip of my dad's O'Douls. I'll never forget the nastiness.

    My $500 Mac (Semi) Pro

Depending on the install, up to 20GB, though 10.6 (due out really soon) is supposed to recover something like 5-10GB of that.

    The big colorpHast experiment

You're sure that the pH meter isn't off? I have a meter in the lab that I can calibrate on a curve to 8 points, and could use to verify the strips are indeed defective. If you're meter's spot on, and this problem turns out to be pervasive you ought to let the manufacturer know. Many chemists...

The quickest AG recipes from Pitch to Pour on HBT (or elsewhere?)

SLAP repair, but the tear was branched so it went superior and inferior, bicep tendon repair, and bankart repair. Don't worry, I have a set of brewing minions that will be doing all the lifting, etc. I'm just going to conduct the orchestra. I can barely move my shoulder to type this post, so...

The quickest AG recipes from Pitch to Pour on HBT (or elsewhere?)

So I had shoulder surgery a couple weeks ago. Bummer. Good news: another week off that I can spend brewing. We throw a pioneer day bash every year (Utah holiday) since our backyard is literally the closest to ground-zero that you can get. Last year, I floated 5 cornies. Because of the...

Caffeine, good for man, great for yeast?

Anyone have access to this journal? I won't be on campus for a while.

    Hop suggestions anyone?

Amarillos are really nice. I think the Simcoe/Amarillo dry-hop combination is hands-down my favorite. Might be a bit much though if you don't want too much citrus (i.e. if you say SN is too citrusy). What about something clean and crisp like Mt. Hood for bittering, and then dry hop with 1/2oz...

Beer brewing with Chinese yeast balls?

With some highly modified (6-row?) malts, this might be possible. Definitely interesting idea.

Proposed Increase of Federal Excise Tax a Serious Threat to Small Brewers Part1

Fired in my email to the ranking member of the committee. Not that there's any chance Orrin Hatch will favor anything relating to beer or the brewing industry, especially with the LDS church's strong stake in Coors...

Can't believe my wife did this......

I think the best complement a brewer can get is when the swmbo/family/friends/neighbors come knocking for another pint. Truly makes you feel like (I don't want to say brewmaster...that's a bit strong) a practitioner of a refined art.
