    How long do hops keep?

    I have left over Chinook hops from me bad last batch 7/12/13 I smelled them. They smelled just fine. I do have another fresh bag. Just wondering if any one would still use the old ones from July, keeping the other for a furture batch?

    Irish moss help

    Hello everybody. Been a while. Been busy. Me last batch I brewed was beyond wretched. Became garden water last Friday. But brewing as I type. Me question is aboit Irish moss. As to when and how much for a 1 gallon of Red ale. With at least a gallon boiling off?

    My stout turned into a really good hoppy, bitter dark I.P.A

    I just got back from BEAUTIFUL Ft. Collins. Tried my stout that has been carbonating for 3 weeks. In warmer than expected temps. Not much I can do about that right now. It's good. But not my stout.

    Ever buy that beer and think....

    "Wow, that was badass", Or "I'm dumping all 6" or somewhere in between? I bought the Alaskan, summer Kolsch style ale & Alaskan Amber. Been awhile since I purchased it. Glad I did. Flavor isn't jumping out at me. But good.

    Obsidian stout served at °?

    Right now I'd say 68°- 70° I really don't have a means of cooling it to 55° like I've heard a lot of you sau is a good temp for a stout. Open to suggeations. I live in a mild temp climate. Barley above 80° in the summer. No need for a/c, if on a budget, a couple of window fans works great.

    What is a double IPA? A friend at work asked me. Could not answer him. My best guess was. Double hopped? Double fermented. I have no clue.
