    I'm panicking a little because I'm making a batch for my dad for Christmas, and something weird is happening. I've never had a contamination before, but I can't think of any other explanation. When I transferred it to the secondary it smelled a little odd, but this is my first batch as a legit...

    I'm a new brewer, only having completed a few brews. Each of them though, has ended up too dark in color (IPAs looking like ambers etc). They have been tasting good, but not necessarily true to style. Am I boiling the wort too vigorously or something? Any insight would be appreciated

    Is spraying sufficient for sanitizing the fermentation vessel or should you always fill it up with the sanitizer?

    I was told that Starsan was a good sanitizer to use because it is a no rinse product, so you avoid some of the chlorine issues associated with rinsing. My problem though is that using the concentrations on the bottle the resulting solution is still really foamy. I feel like I have to rinse...
