Sourcing Parts to Build a 10-way Secondary?

I am the above mentioned brother. The regulators I got were from Napa and are for a paint gun. The problem with them is that to regulate the pressure below 20PSI they bleed it off. I.E. leak. It would have been cool if it worked because they only cost about $20.00 per line. I think you are...

I'm sitting here burping my 4th child who is 2 days old now and wondering to myself, "can I give her Fermcaps? " It seems like it would work great. Has anyone tried it?

American Amber Ale Red Wagon Oatmeal Amber

This was the type of recipe I was looking for. I have a tendency to just brew IPAs and I wanted to mix it up a little but still have a good hop presence. I am a seat of your pants brewer so I don't measure things out to the gram, or really ounce for that matter. I followed the grain bill...

Why Do You Choose to Homebrew?

I enjoy the DIY aspect of the hobby. I grow my own hops which are super fun and rewarding to watch grow up to a foot a day. I have built all my brew equipment from stuff i bought from Craigslist. The price to reward is high. My young daughters love to brew with me. They play with the hose and...

    Second year cascades

Sorry to rub it in 60SD. Here are to 2 plants that I transplanted a week and a half ago. These are from the same batch as yours. The first year I harvested about 12 oz. total and I looks like this year is going to be out of control. That is as long as I don’t end up in a lawsuit and have to...

Limiting the Height of my Hops

60sd, What kind of dirt did you plant them in? Just potting soil? Native dirt? I have had problems with other plants potted in straight potting soil.. I think its a water retention issue. I think a half wine barrel should be fine. IMO

Limiting the Height of my Hops

I refuse to be a victim of people’s lack of common sense. Common courtesy would say don’t let your dog eat other peoples plants. Common courtesy also says not to drag your stupid dog everywhere but that line is definitely getting blurred. Don’t get me started on dogs on...

Limiting the Height of my Hops

It should be interesting to watch them this year. I love checking up on them every day. I planted them in front of my business, which is an office building with an arbor near the front door. I figured why have climbing roses? Hops smell way better. I plan to hag a sign on the hop plants...

Limiting the Height of my Hops

I just transplanted my hops to a new location this year to get better sun. I don't have a whole lot of room in the new location and I was wondering what would happen if I topped my hops daily to control their vertical growth. Would the plant produce the same amount of hops, just not as spread...

    beer and tobacco.

I have been chewing for years. My brother recently taught me to regulate my beer consumption while brewing by chewing. 2 or 3 beers then a chew. Repeat.

    Can I fix a beer I don't like?

Well I think that settels it then. I'll pitch some champagne yeast and see if it can make it a drinkable beer.
