Coor's Disposable Keg = Party Pig?

a buddy of mine gave me one that he emptied. looks like you could possibly unscrew the cartridge, and us a new one for homebrew.still would have to carb your beer normally, this would just keep it under pressure after opened so it wouldn't go flat. i think i'll give it a try next time i bottle...

Orange Peel in a Mac and Jacks Clone

i used an ounce of sweet orange peel in a real hoppy ipa, and i just cracked my first bottle after one week. too much orange taste so far. it needs some more conditioning, so i'm hoping it'll mellow a bit. later i read the package, and it says use 1/2 oz per 5 gallon batch. whoops.....it'll...

    hops in pots?

anyone grow hops in enclosed planters? well, actually i'd like to try growing them in one of those half whiskey barrels, and training up a wire. our soil here is mostly clay, and gets really hard in the summer where nothing grows well. also wondering would they grow back year after year if they...

ol' number seven will just be a learning experience. i've done almost 30 batches, and i'm still experimenting. some good, some great, some not so great. that's what makes this "hobby" so much fun.
