    Rehydrating Dry Yeast

    Why is this so important? Also, I dont get it. You rehydrate for 15 minutes in 95F water? Why is it vastly different than pitching directly into the wort? Will it not get rehydrated in the wort itself? Clueless here.

    Sanitizing Yeast

    I've seen a video where the liquid yeast pack is thrown in a bucket with the sanitizer and the rest of the equipment to get sanitized. Can I do the same with the dry yeast pack or is it not water proof?
