It's pretty good a actually .. I still plan on racking into a secondary for a couple weeks and I keg my beer so it will be a while before I get the finished product ... especially because I carbonate with the "set and forget method"... I really want to have a beer with the "wheaty" flavor that...

    Questions on fermentation

Hey there .. I'm pretty worried about the 2 batches I have going right now .. They are both cheaper extract batches but I have had a lot of success with them in the past. My concern is that I have had these batches in their primary fermentors for 24 days now .. I have never done this before but...

    Canadian pilsner not budging

Yes 30 Celsius ... Forgive my lack of knowledge but I don't know what a "pitching rate" is ... And I should Have mentioned that this was an extract kit which included yeast and instructions.... I have made a lot of these but have never had problems like this

    Canadian pilsner not budging

I have had a Canadian Pilsner in the primary for 6 days now ... The OG was 1032 and I pitched the yeast a little warm at 30 degrees ... There has been very little action takin place and I am a little concerned.. There is next to no Krausen at all... Yesterday I took a gravity reading of 1020 and...

    Set and forget carbing method

I have recently learned that I don't have the balls to blast carb anymore (after waisting 1/4 of my first keg pouring foam) ... I now use the "set and forget" method and have a question about it ... My last keg was a dark ale I set at 12 psi and planned on leaving for 1 1/2 weeks to carb .. I...

    Quick keg question

Up until now I have only had one keg in service in my kegerator ... Today I added a "t off" from my regulator distributing equal co2 pressure to 2 lines .. Am I going to run into any problems with having the two kegs sharing a single gas feed? I am going to be adding my second keg soon and...

    Is this a common problem?

Ok I think I know what's going on here...this is my first keg and I tried a blast carb method and didn't know what I was doing.. I had an over carbonation problem and just clearly didn't bleed off all of the c02 I needed to .. Must be releasing still from the solution and raising the pressures

    Is this a common problem?

So is what your suggesting is that there is c02 bleeding off of the solution rising the psi in my keg?

    Is this a common problem?

I just recently got my first keg right where I wanted it with regards to carbonation and serving pressure however have recently ran into a problem. I have my serving pressure set at 10 psi and if I leave it for a few days I come back and the pressure rises... I have reset it several times and...

At my wits end with kegging

Well I have installed 10' lines and now have disconnected the gas and am relieving it of c02 every few hrs ... It is already pouring nicer than before but still mostly foam... Luckily I anticipated that I may have some trial and error with kegging so I am making my first attempt at it with a...

At my wits end with kegging

So is the idea that eventually u will be able pour a pint that is not just foam and you can evaluate the carbonation levels?
