    Need an Accurate Ph Meter... Suggestions?

    You need to spend a metric crap-ton in order to get a decent meter. Are you using a meter now, or strips? I worked in a brewery that had $500+ meters that were okayish. They got you close. Then they broke down after a year of normal use.

    Quick yeast washing question

    Sounds like it's probably best to make a starter. I washed it about a month ago from a 5 gallon batch into one mason jar so I could save some room in the fridge. Good to know! Thanks everybody -Drew

    Well, sorry this has taken so long but life seemed to get a bit busy for awhile! I've done just about everything suggested from cleaning one with bleach and one with baking soda...to trying different water...refrigerating one...and have come to the conclusion that these carboy's simply stink...
