    PB&J Beer Recipe

I bottled my PBJ beer a couple weeks ago, although rather than blending this batch, I did it all as one. Mine was a wheat based beer with some added biscuit malt to get the breadiness. I did a secondary with 1 gallon of concord grape juice. Unfortunately the grape juice all fermented out and...

    Gusher?

Everything was sanitized, or at least I believe I properly sanitized it. Both of my first two were kits so I added the recommended amount of sugar for carbonation. As far as chilling them, I haven't been chilling the bitter and it hasn't been a problem. I prefer my bitters at cellar temps...

    Gusher?

So, I have been drinking my first two batches of homebrew for almost a month now. I went to open a bottle of bitter tonight and foam started to shoot out, was able to try a little bit and it tasted bland. I thought it might have just been the one bottle, so I got a second. The second didn't...

    POM Wonder Pomogrante wheat?

Hmm, probably should have picked up some camden tablets when I was just at the home brew shop. I think that POM flash pasteurizes their juice so I shouldn't have to worry about any wild yeast though.

Scotch bonnet and habeneros in beer

Yeah, some can be overly hot. I had a bottle of Twisted Pine Ghost Face Killah a couple weeks ago and it was amazingly hot, but still tasted great.

Ext weekend I will be brewing a Pomogrante wheat beer, Costco had a special on a gallon of the stuff and I used to really like the one that Fort Collins brewery put out prior to the change in master brewer.. Scotch bonnet and habeneros in beer

O, I promised a friend of mine who loves peppers that I would brew a beer with his scotch bonnet and habenero peppers, but I am unsure what the base beer should be.. Should I go with a nice malty stout, or a British bitter, or a session beer so that the peppers can really stand out.. Per haps I...

    Is my cider bad?

Siphoned off some cider that has been fermenting for almost 5 weeks and it tastes a bit like vinegar, is that just a phase, or is my batch bad?
