Racking back to primary out of keg???

see, thats the thing. i don't think there is any C02 in there, so i'm concerned about oxidation before i can get this thing sorted out. any thoughts? it's in the fridge staying cold, but for how long will she be OK without C02?

Racking back to primary out of keg???

thanks guys, how long do you think it can sit and be OK? i'm not set up to bottle(um, no bottles). or, should i leave it in the keg and bring the whole system in for them to diagnose? it might get warm though.

Racking back to primary out of keg???

Hi guys, so I've gone though 4 yes 4 2.5# bottles of CO2 on 2 corny kegs. I know this isn't right, I can't find the leak. Right now I have a full 5 gallons of beer in the keg without any pressure. I'll bring the whole system to my lhbs where I got it to try and findthe leak, but might just...

    i dropped my C02 tank....help!

thank you. i'll look at bevfactory. yeah, it seems just the tank level dial got mangled. i had set output pressure @ 5 PSI last night and i checked this morning and it was still sitting there nicely. i imagined i couldn't have been the only to have done something like that. :o but somewhere...

or maybe the penrose kettle? that looks quality as well. would have to punch alot of holes though. i guess that would be OK really.

    please offer thoughts. minibrew/highlander

hi guys, i'm specing my electric build. i've settled on 1 of these two products as my MLT and HLT. i will be installing a herms in the HLT. i don't think i'll have an electric PID, will go by the therm in the vessel. i'm looking at the 20 gallon highlander brewing vessels for BK,MLT, and HLT...

just re-reading the thread and missed this ^^^!!!! wow!, what an excellent and generous offer. thank you. might take y up on that.:mug: i have a friend who isn't an electrician, but knows what he's looking at. he'll come over and look at the box and see if we can do ourselves what is necessary...

my latest kegging problem. any thoughts?

so tuesday i'm enjoying a nice carbonated homebrew. wednesday i go to pull a pint...nothing. i open up the fridge, pressure gauge at zero, C02 tank level gauge at 600. grrrrr. fiddle around a bit and can't get any gas. any thoughts? could it be MT?

    please help me go electric.

thanks for all the encouragement guys. i appreciate it. i opened up the box last night and looked around. it is PACKED. not a single open circuit. BUT, it looks pretty easy to move stuff around, so if i can find a couple low use circuits and stack them(using a breaker as shown above, my box...

    please help me go electric.

mmm, not so much, but kinda. thing is, when we installed the dryer, the joke was, if it dies, sell the house. it's that tight in the space.

    please help me go electric.

um, that would be bad, unless my wife was away for a LONG time. it's not the working with AC i'm shy of, it's the safety of the wiring i installed. i just can't take the risk.

    please help me go electric.

thanks for the boost, honestly. but, our panel is pretty maxed. i wouldn't even know where to begin. there's no open breakers.

    please help me go electric.

agreed, but from all my searches here today, i come up with: A) 2000W 110V won't boil 5 gallons, and 2 need to be on different breakers. unlikely in the same room. i'm sorta stuck there.... and yes, this vast group, i'm hoping will be able to tell me whether or not it is at all possible. i...

    please help me go electric.

thanks, but no way i can do that. i know electric can be worked with safely, and i've installed simple stuff, light switches, ceiling lamps, and what not, but i'm just not anywhere near confident enough to mess with the panel.

    please help me go electric.

i don't have a "set-up", but i'd like to build one. :D i'd like to go all grain, all electric, 5-10 gallon batches on the frick farkin cheap. i already have a VERY expensive hobby(competition BBQ)so getting into this one may just be my demise. :ban::rockin:

    please help me go electric.

hi all. i've searched, and can't nail anything down that i can do to make what i'd like happen. i'd like to go electric. i'd like to full boil 10 gallons all grain. an electrician AIN'T coming, trust me. so 220V is out. is this possible or absolutely NO? i prolly will have...

did i under pitch? (don't worry, not an airlock thread)

actually, this is incorrect. credit where credit is due. austin home brew DOES suggest double pitching higher gravity beers. i'll give a couple of their kits a run before branching on my own. :mug:

did i under pitch? (don't worry, not an airlock thread)

thanks guys. i think this will be my last "kit". i'll use recipes, but there seems to be things inherently wrong with all the kit instructions, no matter how reputable the vendor.
