Sulfur smell coming out of my carboy

Some Belgian yeast strains have been known to produce a lot of sulphur. That is very normal. What yeast did you use? As for the "film" on top of your beer, doesn't look like an infection to me although I've never had one before. knock on wood.

Explain your handle / De construct your avatar

Brew = Well... that one pretty much explains itself. Scout = My MOS in the U.S Army. 19D, Cavalry Scout. Avatar is my first ever homebrew. A blonde kit that I forgot to top off with water. Hence the very dark color.

    20' immersion chiller?

Thanks guys. I have 2 more questions. Clear PVC tubing has a maximum working temp of 175*. Would it be ok to use this on the hot water out side of a chiller? Would this work to connect garden hose to kitchen sink?

    20' immersion chiller?

Would a 20' immersion with a 10' pre-chiller be enough to bring 5 1/2 gallons of boiling wort down to pitching temps within a reasonable amount of time? I only ask because 20' is the longest coil I can get without spending a ton of money on 60'.

    Dissapointing batch!!

Give it another week minimum in the bottles. 2 Weeks would be better. Then put a couple in the fridge for at least 3 days (because CO2 dissolves better into cold liquid). If you post the recipe and your process we can better help you to get the results you are expecting.
