    Lost my OG reading

    I think I accidentally threw out the paper where I wrote the OG reading for the beer I now have fermenting (my first). How big a problem is this? Does it just mean I won't know for sure what the final alcohol content is? I read somewhere that I should take hydrometer readings three days in...

    I have a garage with a heater, so I figured we'd be able to keep it at 50 degrees pretty easily. However, I've since decided to brew another ale and hold off on the lager until we get a beer fridge. Obviously, my husband is open to that idea. :)
