Cooler Mash Tun - Mega Size, what size manifold

I got one of those large colman white coolers they use on charter fishing boats. It's a big boy. I normally make my cooler manifolds out of 1/2" CPVC. Anyone make manifolds from 3/4" size???

    Contactor loud buzzing/vibration Failure?

    Contactor loud buzzing/vibration Failure?

Well 3 weeks ago it worked fine, and now with the buzzing it doesn't work at all...

    Contactor loud buzzing/vibration Failure?

My system has been running for years. This last brew day my primary boil circuit when turned out had a loud vibrating/hum noise coming from the contactor. My other circuits were fine, so I continued to brew. The noise was the same even when I had no load on the circuit. Is this as simple as...

Cooler for chilling unit? Can I insulate it?

I was able to get a yeti knock-off cooler rather cheap. Now gotta figure the best way to place access hose for wires and tubing

Cooler for chilling unit? Can I insulate it?

I have one of the typical AC unit type chillers with a cheap plastic cooler. Been working for years. Now I want to build a "better" more efficient one. Should I get a better cooler? Or can I insulate a cheap one? Like spray foam in the lids and sides? Or what is a cheap brand of a decent...

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

Where would I look at to source copper coil to wrap around the fermenter? Is that water or AC lines or something?

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

I have a Spike 14.5gal conical with Spike cooling coil. I can get it to 45F no issues. And nothing is insulated. I am guessing if I insulated the conical and hoses my chiller wouldn't run as much.

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

I think copper around the outside would just sweat in my humidity. There is the "cooling" jacket. Cool Zone Cooling Jacket

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

Brewhardware says it needs 3" diameter opening. Anvil one might be better, need to figure the opening. I am just surprised no one has done this before

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

My basement is 73-68 year round. This is for ales and I like to target 65F during active fermentation. I have a water system that I can run at 38F to pump through anything. Coolstick, seems $$ for something that might not be enough.

Does anyone make a coiling coil that will fit in a standard Sanke keg?

I have a chiller and am getting another one. It would be nice to ferment in my Sanke kegs with a simple coil that fits through the standard keg hole with the spear removed. I looked on BrewHardware.com - High end, practical homebrewing hardware, accessories and ingredients for making beer...

Any chance I can get grain to keg on 7days???

I have been homebrewing over 20 years... I got plenty of ingredients and lots of equipment. Can I pull off a beer on tap by Thanksgiving? "Hazy Pale Ale" Big yeast stater Lots of late addition whirlpool hops. I can carb a beer over night... Carb stones and stuff. Thoughts?

EZboil DSPR320 running a RIMS tube - suggestions on programing.

There was a slight film of slime on the element. But no burning/scorching. No idea if it is the new loc-line manifold, or finally able to do a 172F mash-out. I was better than 65% efficiency that I have been getting for years. Closer to 70% on the last 2 brews with the changes.

Options/Suggestions to add a sight glass to my Rims?

I kill my RIMS element after I stir or disturb the mash, then turn back on when its "clear" This is my RIMs tube on a 21gal kettle, any suggestions to add a sight glass that can hold up to the weight of the RIMS? I have this style on my chiller, maybe that is good enough?

Auber JSL-73B Timer - Cannot set events longer then the previous.

I had to get the instructions and double check what I can't do. Seems real odd to limit it like this. What I want to do 100min total timer 45 min boil 15min addition 20min whirlpool 20min whirlpool But I cannot set 20min after I set 15min. And if I read it correct, if I do 15min and 15min and...

EZboil DSPR320 running a RIMS tube - suggestions on programing.

Just mashed out a 15gal batch of pale ale. Mout=100% 152 to 172 mashout ran about 10degrees hotter than mash temp. Used rice hulls, and my new loc-line manifold must restrict my pump some. I could not feel/detect any compact mash After I empty mash tun will check condition of element.

EZboil DSPR320 running a RIMS tube - suggestions on programing.

If I understand what you are saying... My next batch I should leave Mout = 100% and do the step from 153F to 172F And I should not have issues?

EZboil DSPR320 running a RIMS tube - suggestions on programing.

I really think Mout as a program option would really make this an ideal controller.
