    Lost power during secondary fermentation

So fermenting in the 60's, cold crashing, then raising the temp back up to around 70 to bottle condition would cause infection??? I'm no expert but that has to be a joke.

Kegerator Build on an EXTREMELY LOW Budget - GE WRM04GAVABB

I found with two kegs the door will need to be stripped. For now it will be just one, but I designed it to expand to two kegs with little effort.

Kegerator Build on an EXTREMELY LOW Budget - GE WRM04GAVABB

Talking to a buddy that used to have a bar, I found out he had a lot of extra stuff around I could through and have what I need. Ended up with 20lb co2 tank and a dual regulator. With all the big stuff out of the way, time to pick up a shank and she's ready to go.

What is it about fall/winter and brewing?

It gets HOT down here in the summer, and I'll drink my fair share of the cheap stuff while working outside. It goes down like water and don't need to worry about getting drunk. If I'm inside in the A/C or when it's too damn cold out I'd much rather have an IPA, porter, something with flavor to...

Kegerator Build on an EXTREMELY LOW Budget - GE WRM04GAVABB

Go the final placement of the tower. Also got a 2" hole drilled in the top. I have it sealed with aluminum tape now, but forgot to take a picture. Getting close.

Kegerator Build on an EXTREMELY LOW Budget - GE WRM04GAVABB

After the regulator, shank, and hose I should be around $75 give or take. Plus what ever was spent in the past on the random parts..... But we won't count that :D

Kegerator Build on an EXTREMELY LOW Budget - GE WRM04GAVABB

I know there's a million kegerator builds out there, but here's my GE WRM04GAVABB mini fridge on an EXTREMELY low budget. I'm the single income provider of a family of four, full time job, and classes at night working on my degree. I'm a very diy person, "It ain't broke until I can't fix it". So...

    DIY Tap Handle?

Working on a keg set up so I made this up real quick. Just a scrap piece of red oak I had lying around. Just took the router to the bottom part, but still need to burn and seal it.

Austin Tx. Homebrewer help to start kegging

It's been a few months since I've gotten to brew, but I've itching to make another batch or two. I've just started going back to school in the evenings combined with a full time job, a newborn, toddler, and all the other things I have to do, so funds and time are short these days. I'm a very...

Nylon Hop Bags (reuse or trash?)

I just got done with my first brew, and I used 1gal paint strainer bags ($1.98/2) from Home Depot for my hops bag. They worked great for a 60 minute boil and cleaned up nicely. Just washed them out and hung them up to dry for a few hours, and they were as good as new. Seemed to clean up easier...

    Fail Safe First Time Homebrew

Thanks for all the suggestions and quick responses. I think I will try AHS Texas Blonde Ale. http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?products_id=332 Price seems right, and reviews sound good. Might get some buddies to help and try the mini-mash version.

    Fail Safe First Time Homebrew

I was thinking an ale might be more along my lines. I plan on stopping by AHB one of these days, seeing how I pass it on a daily baisis, just can never find the time. How is Coopers canned beer? I seemed to see mixed reviews, mainly on the sugars used.

    Fail Safe First Time Homebrew

After a lot of time reading many threads on here, I'm getting ready for my first homebrew. I've had some experience with distilling, and a horrible experience with Mr. Beer some years ago. I was wondering what y'all would recommend for a fail safe, easy first homebrew? I was hoping for a IPA or...
