Some beers are way overhopped, but the majority seem nicely balanced. I have seen cascades in too many things lately, I had an Irish Red sample that was dry hopped with them...

The good thing about the release client is that you can give it a nice long trial before you commit. As much as I like XP it is getting long in the tooth and while 7 is a slight improvement over Vista I personally would not buy it seperately but if it came on a new PC I wouldn't roll back to XP.

I have been having a lot of luck with an extended secondary. Generally I primary for 10-14 days then secondary for a month or so. It gives everything more than enough time to clean up and to clarify nicely.

I never got the Killian's tasting kit but it looks like they want to pay me for some surveys. The first page is asking me for lots of personal info though, so I am not entirely sure how legit it is though. Anyone else that sent away for that kit get an e-mail like this?

Mr Beer users have their own forum with Mr Beer modders AG brewers and everything. I had no idea people take that so seriously, makes me wish I had picked up some after Xmas leftovers I saw for $10.
