for that finishing dry hop step, do you just drop em in, or put them in a mesh bag and soak the hops. i have tried both, bud hops, dropped in, really made a mess pumping, great hop taste though, or pellet in a bag, not hoppy at end of 7 day dry hop.
i am looking for a batch of very hoppy beer. i have had green flash, on tap like it, but i know there is a hoppier beer out there i can make.
i found the hoptimum recipe from sierra nevada. any more suggestions, just chyme in, give me a name, green flash brewery i know makes hoppy beers. thanks.
typically, after bottling, does it take the full two weeks and more to carbonate beer? 12, or 22 oz bottles. it's a maple, nut brown ale clone.with the proper amount of priming sugar added prior to bottling.
tomorrow will be the first week since i brewed up my first t.k. maple nut brown ale. my basement reads a steady low 60 temp. i have a good fermenting head on my glass carboy. the bubbling in the aerater seems to be slowing down a bit. from all i have read on this site, all is well.
