    55gal barrel - how should it be stored when full

    This is my first experience with a full size barrel. My question is whether or not the weight of the barrel should be supported by the rings or the staves or doesn't it matter? I'm laying the barrel on a few 2x4s and want to ensure it wont be damages and potentially leak.
