    Bru'n Water on Chromebook

My 12 year old laptop finally gave up the ghost, and I bought a chromebook. I didn't really give it any thought about being able to use Bru'n Water, and I should have. The chromebook arrives today, and I wanted to know if any of you are able to use Martin's product on a chromebook. Also, a...

    Help on sealing fermenter

posted this over in equipment, but I am pushed for time. Boiling now, and was sanitizing my 60L Speidel. The gasket seems like it stretched/grew. There is no way it fits in what I think is the right groove. Is the inner groove where it goes? Thanks!

    Smoked Brown Porter and PH

I got a recipe from our local HBS, and it looks great, can't wait to brew it this weekend. I have RO water to work with. My issue is this, I have played around with Brewer's Friend water profile calculator to find out what I need to add to my water for the brew day. I used a profile for London...

    electric hoist

Hey everyone, just a heads up that Northern Tool has a small electric hoist on sale, for $59. I picked one up, to both lift my fermenter into my freezer, as well as lifting grain bag. It is pretty quick, and quiet. Seems pretty sturdy for its size as well...

    It's all about the Aqua!

Last year, we had a water filtration system installed. They gave us a water report. Below are the numbers. Are these enough to get me going, to adjust my water for brew day? CaC03 Hardness 14 Fe Iron .7ppm Fe (Post Softener) Iron (Post Softener) .1ppm Mn Manganese 0 pH 7.5 TDS...

    Grain bill screw up

    Frankenfest

I feel like I just raised the dead. I had what I believe was a stuck fermentation. I analyzed what I did. Cooled wort after boil w/ IC. OG was 1.069 adjusted for temp. Pitched lager yeast @ 70 degrees. Wort Was poured through a screened funnel into carboy, so there was some degree of...

    Big Ol' SNAFU

Brewed an all grain Weizen last week.(Bee Cave Weizen). Its been 8 days and fermentation stopped after the third day. EdWort's recipe calls for an F.G. of 1.009. Well, I had a brain fart and I primed my batch before I took a hydrometer reading. The reading was 1.019! To make this...

    insulated HLT project

I work for a company that deals with EPS foam(coffee cup foam). I got the idea to order a 30x30x24 cube with the center cut to slide my keg into. The block is a bit big, I may shave it down and laminate the outsides to keep it from getting banged up. It will have a foam floor and top. The...
