    Wine kits

    Anyone have some suggestions on what I can add to spice up any of the Vino Italiano kits? I'd like to make them a bit more personal and put my own spin on them. I've made several and I really like the Cab-Merlot and Zinfin Blush.

    Carboys

    If you don't live close to a supplier as I don't, Amazon.com has 3 gal carboys from Paklab for $25.00 with free shipping. I believe they are Italian made. I've purchased the 6 gal from them before and was very satisfied.

    First time meade attempt. I started my first strawberry Meade today. The recipe was from Raymond Massaccesi winemakers handbook. The initial sg was 1.17 using the recipe. I removed 2 cups of must and added 2 of water and it dropped it to 1.15. My questions are will the juice from the...

    Port kit

    I'd like to know how to make a port kit less sweet? I've made several ports from kits and the last one I made was an Apple Tatin Port and it was really too sweet. I'm planning on making Wine Experts Blackberry Port but don't want it as sweet as the Apple Tatin Port. Thanks.
