Where to get silicone tubing and cam locks....fast!

I'm upgrading the rig with a plate chiller finally, but never did order my hoses and connections for it. We want to Brew Sunday and I cannot find anything locally or close to Ohio for shipping. Any ideas/reccomendations? Most of the stores do not have an expidted option and are 3 days out.

    Carapils base......

So, we decided to do a group brew where we each handle a different aspect of the brew (mash, hops/boil, yeast/fermentation). The catch is that we don't know what the others are doing. We invited a buddy to join us, he picked up his grains yesterday and left them in my truck. I cheated and...

    IPA Recipe Recommendation

After 15 gallons of so so brews and 5 gallons of terrible, can someone reccomend a light hoppy brew recipe? The previous batches were all attempts to create my own recipe, not totally surprised they sucked. I'm all grain on a HERMS system. I made this a few times and it was good, but a bit...

Sparging Question - When to stop

I've searched around and I'm still confused on this. My approach to brewing is pretty non scientific and although I've made some pretty good beers, I'd like to have more control over the beer and what's going on. I fly sparge after I recirc for 60 minutes. From what I've read, i should take...

    Check My Recipe

Did my first recipe free trip to the local brew supply store. Wanted a lighter crisp fresh beer. How do you think this'll turn out: 10 lbs 2 row pale ale 1 lb Crystal 10l Mash at 175 for 60 min Sparge at 170 for 45min to get 6.5 gallons 60 min boil 1 oz Mt Hood with 50 min...

PICS First brew with our brew stand

After a few years of pots, coolers, and buckets, we went for the HERMS stand setup with a pump. The idea was to keep it reasonably inexpensive and simple. The plumbing is simple, easy to clean, and the cooler and boil remove for cleaning easily. Last step is to pump hot water through it all...

    Winterizing Brew Stand Lines

New guy here. Just got done with my first brew stand and I was wonderign if anyone does anything to "winterize" their lines, pumps, etc. The plumbing was designed with drain valves allowing complete drainage. Does anyone run anything through afterward to prevent any freezing? I was thinking...
