    New brewer here.. did i mess up?

    Ok, so I ordered a "California Steam" kit from midwestsupplies to brew my first beer. Followed the kit instructions, and everything seemed to be okay... until I pitched the yeast. Being a noob, I pitched the california lager activator liquid wyeast directly into the wort without a starter...
