    Bottling / Sanitation Question

Ok, once you've cleaned your bottles (in my case, Oxiclean with a good hot rinse) and bottling times comes - what / how is the best way to do the actual sanitizing? I've got some "no rinse" sanitizer. Can you just mix that up in a bucket / container with your bottles and pull them out of the...

    How close to plant?

If you were trying 2 or 3 different varieties of hops, how close can they be planted to each other and still avoid "cross pollinating" each other? Or is that even a risk?

    Bottling question

I will be attempting to bottle my first batch tomorrow. Is there any point in pouring from my primary into a bottling bucket through a sanitized strainer, or is it better just to siphon from the fermenter and not worry about the sediment?

    Another dumb question (re: hydrometer)

My hydrometer came inside a clear plastic tube with end caps. Do I put the sample in this tube to take a reading or is it supposed to be in a different type of container?

No action until Monday and then kicked in to a decent active bubbling on Tuesday (yesterday). Power went...
