    Is this Efficiency Calc Correct?

I brewed Bier Muncher's Centennial Blonde yesterday (see recipe below) and I used the brewhouse efficiency calculator at Brewer's Friend, home brewing resources to calculate my efficiency. I mashed for 70 minutes at 150 degrees and batch sparged at 165 and 170 with a 20 minute rest after...

Typical Conditioning Time For 22oz Bottles?

My first batch has been in 22oz bottles for 18 days. What is the typical length of time for conditioning in this size bottle? I don't see any yeast in the bottom of the bottles and I'm getting kind of anxious for a taste but i'm thinking 22's may take longer to condition.

Bottled First Batch Today - One Problem

I bottled my first batch of brew today, after 14 days in the secondary. I took care of the entire process while the wifey was at work. Everything was sparking clean when she walked in like nothing had happened. Kind of like when you were a kid and had a party at your parents house and went...

    Grain Bag Powder

When steeping the grains in a mini mash, is it wise to include the inch of smashed grain (powder) into the steep. Sometimes the grains arrive in the mail with little powder and other times there's a good amount of powder at the bottom. Is this what adds tannins/acids after the steep when the...

    Full Boil Question (Noob)

So I ordered a mini mash kit from AHS and asked them to include full boil instructions as well as partial boil instructions kit. As expected, there were no full boil instructions. How should the following recipe be altered for a full boil? Steep the following in 2 1/2 gallons at 155...

    All Grain in a Kettle

Noob here. I'm looking to see if anyone has a good link/instructions and/or pros/con for using a 10 gallon SS kettle with thermometer and spigot as a mash/lauter tun, then for the boiling of the wort. Thanks for the replies.
