    What does a secondary fermenter do?

    Hello all, I started a Ace of Spaces - Black IPA from northern brewer on saturday. In two weeks I am supposed to siphon to my secondary fermenter, and then add more hops. My question is, what does moving it to a secondary do for the beer if all i am doing is adding hops? Thank ya

    Home Brew Kit - does the yeast packet or anything expire? 4/5 months

    Hello, About 4-5 months ago I bought a Brew kit from nothern brewer - ace of spades black ipa. Do I need to worry about the dry yeast packet or anything else expiring? I plan to brew tomorrow and wanted to check if there is anything I should be worried about.
