    Pumpkin Ale Help...

I am looking for a recipe for a higher gravity pumpkin ale. Something that I can let age and have the spices mellow yet still have a big hint of them after four to five months in the bottle. Is there any way that someone could help me come up with a recipe or have a recipe you are willing to share?

    Sweetwater 420 Clone????

I have just bottled my first beer. It was a spiced Scottish Export. It should be ready about Christmas Day, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a good clone extract recipe for Sweetwater Brewing Companies 420 Pale Ale? Iam not set up for all-grain, so extract is needed.

Does anyone have an idea? I don't have a keg set up yet, and was wondering if it was possible to fill them up like you would a normal bottle? Crab Apple Cider...

Has anyone ever made a cider from crab apples? I have access to crab apple trees that put out tons of apples every year. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it? What did it taste like? Was it very tart and tangy like crab apples are?

    Highest OG Ale?...

I am not very good at putting together recipes and am fairly new to homebrewing (right around a year), but I was wondering what the highest original gravity ale you know of? I am looking to make a very high gravity high alcohol beer to attempt to have ready for Christmas 2009. What style and if...

    Scottish Ale Clarity?

My scottish ale is very hazy. This is my first attempt at home brewing and I was wondering if this was "normal" for the style. It is a Northern Brewer Extract kit done at half volume boil and topped up with cold water. I added some dark belgian candi sugar (1#) cinnamon (1/2 tsp) and ginger (1/2...

    Clarifying Beer...

I am giving home brewing a first shot. I have a scottish ale that has been in the primary for nearly three weeks and is still as murky as muddy water. I am gonna rack to a secondary today to see if that will help clear it up, but if it doesn't what do I need to do? I have a pack of gelatin at...
