    Aventinus and gunk at the bottom?

    I was at Spec's today and spied some Aventinus. I'd heard good things about this beer so I got a bottle to try it out. When I got it home I noticed it had gunk in the bottom. Is that supposed to be there? It's labeled as 'bottle fermented' so maybe it's yeast? But wouldn't fermenting...

    But I'm curious...I've just recently (as in today) gotten interested in Homebrewing so I've been reading the Wiki on the steps. One step that caught my eye was aeration, adding O2 to the wort. Perhaps I misunderstood but I thought alcohol was the product of anaerobic glycolysis? Where as...
