    Ale Yeast with Lager Kit?

    I'm new to brewing and bought a lager kit not realizing that I don't have a way to lager beer at low temperature. I don't want the kit to go to waste so I was wondering if I could substitute the dry lager yeast with an XL 1007 GERMAN ALE YEAST smack pack. Will this produce a good tasting beer...
