    air lock plugged up need ideas

    started my Russian Imp stout the other night.. woke up this morning and the air lock is plugged...i cleaned it out, replaced it and it plugged up again right away. i dont have the time to run and get stuff to make a blow off tube, any ideas? thanks joel ps if this thing blows up...

    Cooling Wort the Michigan way

    so i forgot the ice... so what would any good Michigander do? why he would stick his brew pot in a snow bank!... took about 1/2 hour, wich isnt my fastest time...but still...for 11 degrees and a snow bank its not bad!heh BTW it's a bold series russian stout that i am very stoked about...

    Curious in bottle carbonation

    I bottled my first batch of beer last sunday, everything went just peachy. I noticed one thing that struck me as odd. I bottled 47 bottles (a few short to drinking my Gravity readings :D), and the curious thing i noticed is that after 5 days 46 of them are "flat" looking ( with no bubbles or...

    Bottling/Priming

    Secondary floaties

    i think i read about this before, but there are soo many posts, my searches found noting. my English Brown ale (Brewers best) has been in the secondary for a few weeks now, and i'm starting to get a few White floaties on the top, i think i read that they are probably just some yeast sediemnt...

    Just Put 1st brew in Secondary

    I brewed my first batch 2 weeks ago (a Brewers best Kit Brown ale), I seen active fermenting for about 3 days then slowed to nothing over the next 2 days. after 11 days i checked the Gravity, i think i did it right, i got 1.013 i think it was 2 days in a row...that put it about 2-3% abv...
