    Hydrometer Reading - very confused

    Hi there, I am making my very first batch of cider. I have about 3.5 gallons and I used apples from my tree that I juiced. I took a reading when I added the juice to my glass jug and it read 1.025 so I added about 800 grams of brown sugar which gave me a reading of about 1.050. Now two weeks...
