    Jalapeño IPA

I’m planning on making a 5 gallon ipa extract kit and adding jalapeño for some spice. My question is how many jalapeños should I add and when do I add them? The boil? Fermentation?

All my extract kits are darker than they should be

As the title says, every extract kit I've done so far has turned out darker than what the description should be. For instance, I just brewed the NB dead ringer and its the color of a brown ale. I'm following the instructions NB sent with it. I think it could be I'm adding the LME to soon and...

    1st boil over.

I'm sad to say today was my 1st boil over. I'm brewing my third batch (an oatmeal stout), as soon as I added the hops there was an immediate boil over. I believe it was due to the fact I had a raging boil and didn't calm it down before hand....I also may or may not have burned my hand in the...

Not a typical keg vs bottle question

Here is my problem. I have a 5 gallon corny keg, just no where to put it to keep it cold. My fridge is full and I have no room in my freezer. Should I still keg it (like i want to) and hope it gets cold enough outside in my garage or should i just suck it up and bottle it? I live in Colorado and...
