    FG Check

What do people that use a Carboy use to check Fg. I have a hydrometer but what do you put the beer in to check. I'm afraid that if I just check in the Carboy I will lose my hydrometer. Thanks

    Repitch??

I just brewed a Bock and my question is should i repitch yeast? The krausen looked good and now I have trub at the bottom. Head space

I've been reading some head space blogs and was wondering some things. I I use a 6.5 gallon Carboy and all of the beer kits I use say to fill the carboys up to 5 gallons. With this volume is head space going to be an issue and what effects will not enough head space have on my beer. I've done...

    No more kits

I really want to start brewing and stop using kits. Currently on my 3rd batch all kits. I just have a 3 gallon brew pot more like a stock pot and of course all the carboys, funnel and the stuff for fermenting. What would be a good way to stop using kits??

    Chocolate Brew

I was wondering what the best type of beer would be to have a chocolate beer. And can I use an ingredients kit?? I just have one brew pot and haven't done any recipes without a kit yet.
