When are bottle bombs no longer a concern?

I bottled my beer 2 weeks ago and put the bottles in a plastic bin in case they exploded. I'd like to put them in cardboard boxes, but when is it safe to assume they no longer risk exploding?

    Tubing is stuck

So my rubber tubing is stick onto my bottle-filling wand. Any tips on how to get it unstuck?

    Gunk at the bottom

Just bottled my first brew and saw this half inch layer of gunk at the bottom. Is this just from the yeast, and is it safe to wash down the drain?

    Dishwasher for bottles

I plan on soaking my bottles in Star Santo sanitize them, but is it okay to clean them with the regular wash cycle in the dishwasher, and then just let them air dry?

    Is this the trub?

Took a final gravity reading today (1.011), going to do another in a few days. This is the first time I've cracked the lid since brewing a little under 2 weeks ago. Fermenting temperature question

So I just started my fermentation yesterday, and the thermometer in the room says it's 72, but the stick-on thermometer on the side of the ale pale says 78. Is it normal for the wort to be warmer than the room temp, and is this going to be too high?

First brew in the fermenter - questions!

Ok so just brewed my first batch (Brewer's Best English Pale Ale), and had some questions: 1. This "hot break" that's supposed to happen during the beginning of the brew never seemed to come. I had to pretty much watch the pot the entire hour and keep lifting it off the flat-top burner every...

    5 gallons is too much!

So I really want to get into home brewing, but the beer would mostly only be drank by myself. It seems like all malt extracts are designed to make 5 gallons at a time, and I just feel that is way too much for me. It would take me forever to go through that many beers, and I'm afraid I would get...
