    Airlock Activity after 2 Hrs ??

    I brewed my first AG batch yesterday.....a Guinness type stout. Made a starter Friday with White Labs WLPP004. Got to pitch @ 10:30 pm last night. Woke up about 1am to the sound of the airlock going crazy....almost nonstop. Is this normal? The other batches I have done all started 12-36...

    Got a Brewers Best kit from a friend, was gonna cook it up today. My question is that the kit is about a year old.. The included yeast is Safale US-05. I have never used this and wondered if it comes vacuum packed or not. Mine is loose in the package...exp date says 09/13. Other yeast I have...

    Rookie Mistake?

    First Brew Question

    My first brew ended Saturday ... 6 pm. I used a Brewer's best kit...American Light. Everything went according to plans... Pitched the yeast @ 68 degrees...left it on my dining room table for 12 hrs...temp was 68-70. moved to a back bedroom where the temp was approx. 64-65 degrees. Left it...
