    Just wondering if I wanna put fruit in my secondary how should I go about this? Just put the fruit right in there? Or mash it?

    Fermenting Question

    I've had my beer fermenting for 72 hours now, I'm getting great activity through the air lock. My concern is there's only about a half inch of krausen. Am I stressing out over nothing?

    Noob question

    I just brewed my first batch and I'm wondering how long do I wait til the CO2 starts coming through the airlock? And I've already got like almost 2 inches of sludge is this normal?

    First Brew

    Thank you all for the help to get up to this point. I've got my first batch on the stove as we talk :) dont even have my first batch done and I've already jumped on the computer and ordered 3 more kits haha again Thankyou all for your advice and pointers! Ill post pics here soon

    I've very new to brewing and looking for some help. I've been reading up a lot on home brewing before I even start. I plan on starting my first brew in the next couple days. I ordered the northern brewer deluxe starter kit (good decision or no?) for my first brew. But anyways what I'm wondering...
