    OG off the scale.

    I brewed the India Pale Ale Extract Kit from NB expecting an O.G of around 1.064, when I tested the wort the hydrometer read off the scale, (it scales to 1.120) so I'm guessing about 1.130. The ingredients: Specialty Grains: 1 lbs. Simpsons CaraMalt Fermentables: 3.15 lbs. Gold Malt Syrup...

    A question on filtering.

    I just made a 5 gallon batch of Extra Special Bitter, and it came out really well, it was as good as any ‘Real Ale’ that I can get when I go back to England. For me it is fine but for my guests used to the filtered ‘Bud’, ‘Miller’, etc they say it’s cloudy. What is the sequence for filtering...
