    Installing a ball valve on a brew kettle

    I am looking at installing a 1/2" ball valve (attached pics) on a brew kettle from bargainfittings.com. If I order these will I need any additional parts? I have a step bit to help me size it up. Which one would also be recommended?

    Brew Kettle size for full boils

    I currently brew 5 gallon extract batches and would like to venture into all grain. I inherited (free is good!) a 7 gal stainless brew kettle. Would this work for full boil 5 gallon batches or would I need a 10 gal for a full boil on a 5 gal batch? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
