    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

That's what I use, works great. If I have a lot of late additions I hang it on the chiller coil to get in lower in the kettle.

    MoreBeer Customer Service

So today I get an email from MoreBeer. They are giving me a coupon for $20 because they determined one of my orders in the last 6 months was delivered after the date stated on their website. I do remember the order but it was not a big deal as I usually order 3-4 batches ahead and always order...

Why I absolutly hate Harbor Freight

Maybe this will help https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27192 I have many HF tools, the earthquake impact gun and sockets have been bulletproof. There are many items that are defiantly crap though. Doubt I would drop 600.00 on a generator from them.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

So it looks like Anvil redesigned the perforated disk for the recirc kit. Looks like it has fewer perforations to distribute the wort more evenly through the grain bed. https://www.anvilbrewing.com/product-p/rp-079-00.htm I have been rotating the lid a few times during the mash to do exactly that.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

If you have Co2 you could turn the valve until the pick up is at 12:00 then hook up a hose and set the pressure to 1 psi or less then crack the valve for a very short burst.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

I took it apart for the initial cleaning and since its easy to do I will after each batch. I have the Anvil Foundry with the same valve and six batches in I have only disassembled it once. Did not have any build up and I figure since it in boiling temps for over an hour I will probably stay...

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

I received a 4 gallon bucket from Anvil about 10 days ago and it had deep cuts in the bottom. I had read all the posts about the issue but thought by now the QC issues would have been resolved. Emailed Anvil and a new bucket was sent out the next day. There customer service is top notch. The...

    Dry hopped Red

Those look yummy. When I was stationed in the Netherlands went to Octoberfest and had German pretzels. Never knew what made them taste so good, figured they were made with beer. Any chance you could share that red recipe?

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

Totally agree. I would love to see someone make a "mini conical" of around 4 gal that would fit into a beverage cooler. I had looked at the Spike Flex but decided for me it was overkill and too pricey given it doesn't have a dump port.

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

Looking at the picture on the SS site they do not show the ball being removable. I seem to remember a thread where someone did actually remove it but it was a pita. I will search for it. https://ssbrewtech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206717083-Can-I-break-down-the-3-8-ball-valve-for-cleaning-...

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

Thanks for the reply! The bucket should be here tomorrow so I will look at the dimensions however I think you are correct regarding the opening in the base. Looks like the valve handle would be an issue.

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

I just ordered a Brew bucket Mini, wondering if this will work. How much longer is the 3 piece compared to the stock valve?

First Time BIAB - Simcoe SMaSH Recipe Check - 2.5 batch

I brew a very similar version of this in 3 gal batches. For Biab you will need 4.5 gallons of water. With 5 lbs of grains your kettle will not be large enough. You could mash with 3 to 3.5 gallons then sparge to make up the difference but that defeats the purpose of Biab. I use a 8 gal...

    I need to vent.

I use one of these when transferring to the keg. I also use a hop spider to minimise hop debris in the kettle. Clogged popets S$%K https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CH2JSIY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Brewbucket Mini

I was thinking of some sort of caulk or adhesive but wasn't sure what if anything would stick to that silicone base. ( I think thats what it is?) Does the velcro stay or does it come off occasionally? Good to know. I shoot for clear wort also but thought I might have to reduce to 2.5 or 2.75...

    Brewbucket Mini

I have been considering retiring my BMB's and Fermonsters in favor of SS fermentors. I have looked at all the options which are really only 2 because I brew 3 gallon batches. Looking for opinions on the Mini from SS Brewtech. I'm not crazy about the detached base or the lack of handles but...

This would be an interesting mod to the foundry. Please keep us posted.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I would be happy getting 75% with a finer crush but don't want excessive trub as a result, may have to give the bag a try. I did not recirculate during cooling, next brew I will and see if cooling time is reduced.
