I hadn't heard of it until I checked out the Best Malz website. Figured it would be a cool malt to experiment with on the cheap if some folks wanted to go in on a bag.

I started a split for Best Maltz Red X. It is a dark base malt that can self convert and is a bit less sweet and full than Munich. Seems cool for doing a Red IPA SMaSH or altbier or other experimentation. There is a good thread on it here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/red-x-malt-458487/

I have a collar from my now deceased keezer. It is made from a nice piece of cherry with a plywood backing. Solid as a rock. Faucets not included. It measures 35" x 21.5" Free for the taking, but if you want to bring some homebrew that would certainly be graciously accepted.

Airgas will do nitro/co2 fillings. I asked them about it a couple years ago. If I remember correctly it takes a few day for them to turn it around.

About $37 with shipping and hazmat fee. I pay $30 for the 32oz size at my LHBS.

You could pasteurize the beer by heating it to 145F for 3 minutes and cooling it back down. It may affect the final flavor a bit, but not nearly as much as an infection would. If you somehow managed to get some Brett in there, you likely will have a lot of Lacto too, so pasteurizing should...
