I am only talking about my case experience. I was using two of the grain socks from my LHBS, but neither was large enough to hold all of the grain. What bag do you folks use? It easily could have been a case of me using the wrong equipment for the job.

The only thing I can think of is that BIAB partially prevents some of the grain towards the center from being exposed to the water as much. I don't know, I'm still new at this. But if I can prevent some issues by building and using a mash tun, I don't mind. Maybe I will try BIAB again this winter.
