After taking a year off, brewing a dark mild as my first beer in the new place. A little more chaotic than a usual brew day, things are in different places here. Sure is nice to be brewing again!

Don't get me wrong, there is something very satisfying about grinding grain by hand. Other days I just want to hit the button and be done.

Every once in a while I like to break out the hand crank so I can better appreciate my drill.

I copied the recipe from a kit and that's what they listed as the FG.

Had to go back and look that up, but it's listed as 1.006 - 1.010. I had been assuming that 1.016 was done because that sounded about right for a porter.
