    Stainless QDs for gas line?

In that case, hopefully @Bobby_M can provide some guidance :) Cheers!

    Brewing with 240V

I would think that would be the case - right up until laymen are wiring pigtails and outlets :) Cheers!

    Brewing with 240V

Theoretically (maybe even legally?) a device that requires a 20A 120VAC supply would use a NEMA compliant plug for same, such that those 15A sockets would never see a 20A load... Cheers!

    Stainless QDs for gas line?

I have seen that type of connector with the self-closing feature as well as without the self-closing feature, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone using them for gas connections... Cheers!

    Stainless QDs for gas line?

At least for ball lock fittings there are stainless steel quick disconnects for both beer and gas lines, and like their plastic counterparts, are equipped with poppets that close the connectors when they are not plugged on a post. So, not an open line when disconnected, although most would...

    Brewing with 240V

If you use copper Romex you need a minimum of 10 gauge for a 30 amp rated circuit... Cheers!

    Carbonating question

It is indeed, one typically used for conditioning bubbly products like beer, sparkling wine - and I imagine some meads as well :) https://www.lallemandbrewing.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/TDS_LPS_BREWINGYEAST_CBC-1_ENG_8.5x11-1.pdf I'll report your original post to the moderators to move it...

    Brewing with 240V

The breaker protects the entire circuit, and depends on any receptacle to handle the max rated load. Undersizing anything is bad juju and unlikely to meet code anywhere. Either upgrade the outlet or downgrade the breaker. And plugging a low amp device on a higher amp circuit really has nothing...

    Carbonating question

fwiw, CBC-1 should tolerate up to an 18% ABV iirc, but it might rip through every bit of remaining sugar, too, with potentially explosive results...

The Dysfunctional-Palooza Obnoxious Masshole BS Thread

It got down to -10 here, currently -6. Wind is substantially reduced from yesterday's craziness. Pond was flash-frozen. Power shutdown apparently was uneventful and brief...

The Dysfunctional-Palooza Obnoxious Masshole BS Thread

I confess it took me a minute to get ^that^ as the "wind" part here has caught more attention than the "cold" part...so far. Tomorrow after a ridiculous overnight low that cold will have sunk in a bit, but then the temps will turn downright balmy Sunday. Totally New England :D

The Dysfunctional-Palooza Obnoxious Masshole BS Thread

Aaaand just like that, the entire Hudson Light and Power system (of which Stow is half of) has to come down at 3 AM to get this hunk of tree off the incoming high line that runs the entire system. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeyit!

Prescribe a Factory Beer for Me

I was going to recommend trying to find some Spencer Abbey IPA but the brothers shut the monastery's brewery down a couple months ago. Too bad, they had some unique brews...their take on an IPA was enjoyably spicey... Cheers!
