    you could use lye, i use it to clean cast iron, this is what i use, be careful with this stuff if you decide to go this route it is pretty potent

    i have five bottles of it, my sis picked up for me while she was out of town, maybe out of five bottles there will be some living yeast, they all have the same bottling date, too bad it wasn’t a six pack of ayinger celebrator or something else that would benefit from age lol

    yeah that’s what i was afraid of, i was planning on harvesting the yeast from these but if it was bottled in 17 there’s no sense in even trying probably lol

    i changed my line out today, it smelled strong like plastic, i replaced it with the anti microbial oxygen resistant stuff, it was a little more expensive but maybe my beer won’t taste like plastic anymore, the brand of the old line was perabrew pvc beer line

    i left a wort sample in the garage for a few days now and it is fermenting like crazy, it looks like there might be something else in there also like mold or bacteria pellicles i just wonder if i could step this up and use it for a beer

    i currently have a NEpale ale and a saison on tap, on deck i have an ESB, saison split batch just to see how it turns out, after that an altbier, i don’t think i have ever brewed an actual ipa and don’t really plan on it either lol

    i like special b, i use it quite a bit, one thing i have found though is that a little bit goes a long way, in my opinion, i think for this saison that it just added a hint of maltiness, maybe some dark fruit, the beer turned out really nice and i am thankful that i was able to avoid the dupont...

    i just installed new beer lines, seems like my beer is tasting and smelling like plastic more every day could this be from the beer line? or infection? the beer is a hoppy pale ale it has been kegged for quite sometime now the hop flavor and aroma are starting to fade away at this point.
