    2 liter for bottling beer?

    are you guys using new caps? if so, where are you getting them. I do have some of the bottles with the new caps that came with a Mr. Beer setup, but I have yet to use the caps or the bottles.

    Is a 7gal carboy to big for a 5 gallon batch

    I have four 7.5 gal carboys.. they work great. I have done 5 gallon batches in them.. but why stop there? Make 7 gallons of beer instead.

    What hops should I use to bump up the IBU? Some roasted barley would go well.. would another pound of honey be overpowering for the honey flavor?

    Bottling question- Critique my steps please?

    The bottles are pretty dirty and need the labels removed, hence the oxyclean. I have a really powerful dishwasher so i'll run them through that after cleaning them out.. just to get them a chance to get hot and rinsed off and let the heat also sterilize them. Then we'll soak them in starsan...

    Carbonation issues?

    The corona bottles seemed to cap up just fine. We still don't have much carbonation in our bottles, but next time we'll use an extra carb tab and see how it goes. The next beer is an Oatmeal Stout. The beer was great.. even flat it was really really good. We will bottle the Stout this week...
