    5/16 gas line to 1/4 barb fittings

    I have not had this problem however I would still try it out. The real problem would be leaks and if you keep your eyes on it (leak check everything) I would have to say you could make it work.

    Yes it is possible. I don't know the tech. terms for it but from what I understand a differance in temp. or pressure could cause a suction. I've read that most would not worry about the starsan in the beer a mason jar should not do that much damage.

    Gas leak in the kegerator...need diagnosis advice

    STARSAN or soapy water is good for leak detection. Try and isolate the leak by diconnecting the kegs and work your way back to the regulator.
