    Added too much extract! Help!

    I'm in the boil process of a home brew and the recipe I got online called for 8lbs extract. I bought dme extract but I think the recipe was intended for lme. I put in around 7 lbs of dme extract before realizing my mistake. Is there anyway of fixing it? I'm still doing the boil right now. Thanks!

    Oak Chips bittering my beer?

    I made an IPA with less than 1 ounce of medium toast oak chips. After 3 weeks in the bottle I can kinda taste a dry bitter flavor at the back of my tongue. Could it be the oak chips giving this unwanted bittering flavor?

    Low O.G. Help?

    Building immersion chiller

    I am going to build an immersion chiller. I wanted to use 25 ft. of 3/8" copper tubing but all lowes and HD have is 20 ft. Would a 20 ft chiller be alright or is there a way to attach an extra 5 or 10 feet of copper to it to make it longer? Thanks!

    starter question?

    I made my first starter for a hefe using 1/2 pound of lme. Do I subtract that from the total amount of LME the recipe calls for? It says use 6.6 lbs of Wheat LME, so should I take into account the amount of LME I used for my starter? Or just put in 6.6 lbs of LME into my boil?
